West Ham player makes Arsenal Premier League title prediction ahead of final day

Michail Antonio has backed Arsenal to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title on the final day of the season - but insisted the Gunners shouldn't be viewed as "bottle jobs" if they fail to do so.

After Tottenham Hotspur failed to take points off of Man City on Tuesday night, Mikel Arteta's side head into the final weekend of the season needing a favour from West Ham United if they are to deliver a first Premier League title to the Emirates Stadium since 2004.

But with City suffering just one defeat in their last 23 Premier League outings, at Aston Villa in December, the likelihood of the Gunners securing title glory this weekend feels unlikely.

However, Antonio has insisted as West Ham United have something to play they could cause trouble at the Etihad against Manchester City, who are on the brink of landing a fourth consecutive Premier League title.

"I wouldn’t call them [Arsenal] bottle jobs if they lose this title, I wouldn’t. If it goes down to the last day, I reckon Arsenal wins it," said Antonio on the Footballer's Football Podcast. "Last game of the season, we [West Ham] have something to play for as well, we’re trying to get into Europe, Man City away."

However, after just one win from their last four games, the Hammers will be unable to secure European qualification regardless of what happens at the Etihad this weekend. But there will be an incentive to end David Moyes' tenure on a high after it was announced earlier this month that the Scot would be departing the club at the end of the season.

For Arsenal, then, should West Ham take points off of Pep Guardiola's side this weekend, they would simply need to win their final game against Everton to become Premier League champions.
