It’s set to be a busy summer for Premier League clubs as they prepare for the 2020/21 season, which is set to get underway in just over a month’s time.

With the transfer window now open, all eyes are on who will be making moves over the next couple of months, not least at Leeds United as they prepare for their first season back in the top flight.

The break in last season due to the coronavirus pandemic has had a big effect on finances within football, but that hasn’t stopped the usual plethora of transfer rumours.

Here are the latest rumours and gossip coming from the Premier League.

Barcelona have made Manchester City defender Eric Garcia their top priority this summer, according to reports.

The 19-year-old was formerly part of Barca’s La Masia academy before moving to the Etihad Stadium in 2017.

With his current contract at Eastlands set to expire in 2022, the Catalans are looking to bring Garcia back to the Camp Nou as a long-term successor to Gerard Pique, Goal reports.

But City are still looking to tie the Spanish defender down to a new long-term contract, having seen him establish himself in Pep Guardiola’s side in the last couple of months.

Everton have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon after bidding £18m.

The 23-year-old was voted the best left-back in La Liga after playing a pivotal role while on loan with Sevilla.

Carlo Ancelotti is thought to be keen to fill the vacancy left after Leighton Baines’ decision to retire and, according to Sky Sports, his side have now moved ahead of at least three other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Reguilon.

And they could be helped by Real’s need to raise around £180m in funds, as well as the options already in place at left-back with Marcelo and Ferland Mendy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Manchester United to step up their pursuit of Jadon Sancho in order to avoid paying over the odds.

The England international looks likely to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with a number of clubs interested in securing his services.

According to ESPN, United lead the way, but Solskjaer is keen to accelerate things as they look to knock down Dortmund’s £80m valuation.

The club are prepared to offer £50m for Sancho, and are eager to avoid a similar situation to last year’s pursuit of Harry Maguire, which saw them pay £80m after having initially valued him at £40m.
