Manchester United are monitoring the progress of Leeds United duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White, with the Red Devils keen to add young English talent to their squad.

Leeds are currently benefitting from the talents of the young duo, with Phillips a presence in midfield and White looking a classy addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s defence, having arrived at Elland Road from Brighton and Hove Albion on loan.

And the form of the duo isn’t going unnoticed, with Football Insider reporting that Man United are keeping tabs on both Phillips and White, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to continue to send scouts to watch the pair.

The report notes how Phillips prompted bids of £20m in the summer, whilst Brighton now value White around that mark after his rapid progress in a Leeds shirt.

Who is more important to Leeds?

However, they are not the only Premier League giants interested in White, with Football Insider noting Liverpool are also circling the centre-back.

Currently, both Phillips and White are big players in Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds squad, making 15 appearances in the Championship and helping the Whites to third in the table ahead of this afternoon’s fixtures.

Both are ever-present and likely to continue this afternoon against Blackburn Rovers.

You’d be seriously alarmed if clubs like Manchester United were not taking note of Phillips and White, as the pair are both playing exceptionally well and have their best years ahead of them at the ages of 23 and 22 respectively.

However, it remains to be seen whether they act on this interest and move to bring either Phillips or White to Old Trafford.

You get the feeling that, if they continue to impress at Leeds, these types of reports will continue to pop up.
