There has been a lot of discussion about the drop in form by Manchester City but we say – have faith – Pep will sort it out.

Manchester City have had their worst start to a season for 10 years and there is much ground to make up if we want to win the Premier League for the third year in a row. Luckily there are still 32 games remaining so there is plenty of time for our manager Pep Guardiola to right the problems.

To describe it as a poor start does not seem wholly correct, because there have been moments of real class as well. The 8-0 demolition of Watford for instance was good enough to grace any of our recent seasons.

Yet, we have been facing continual taunts about the quality of the defending and have been unlucky in that somehow Liverpool have been jammy and cruised to a lead.

Last season, when we won the Premier League title by 1 point, we lost 4 games in total. So far this year we have lost 2 in the first 8, and as long as we probably lose no more than another 2 – then it should be fair to say we will be there, or thereabouts at the end of the season.

So we know Pep is a winner – who drives his players onto greatness and consequently we know he will not be satisfied with some of the recent results, even if he is satisfied with the performances. Based on his enviable track record, we know he will ensure we improve after the International break, although it may well take a few games to really hit our stride.

We have had a read of the Liverpool fansites and looked through some of the national media at the issues they have identified with City and will go through and address each of them in turn.
